A few years ago, one of my best friends nearly died when a ladder slide out from under him on the job. He fell over 20 feet and was severely injured. He was hospitalized for weeks. It was a really scary situation and all I kept asking myself is “how could this have been prevented?” I became obsessed with that question and started researching ladder safety technology.
The first patent in the US for ladder stabilizers was filed in 1994. Numerous patents have come afterwards, but none seemed like a complete package (and none would have helped my friend). After extensive research and development, the Stay Put system currently boasts FIVE PATENTS. I can confidently say that NOTHING provides the overall safety, utility and peace of mind that Stay Put does.

How It Works
The Stay Put interlocks with the ladder via high strength automobile timing belts and features 6 points of contact — with a foot on either side of the ladder. Each side can be individually adjusted to different pitches and grades, which means it can be set up anywhere and helps prevents sinking on soft surfaces, tipping and sliding out. The legs are designed to dig in deeper the harder it is pulled – making it virtually impossible to pull out regardless of where it is set up.
